Local beginnings
Dairy Queen of S.W. PA started with Lewis & Betty Lynn. They were traveling out west and had their first taste of DQ in New Mexico. Being very impressed with this product, they pursued what would become a lifelong relationship with the brand.
May 1952
Connellsville DQ
The Lynns opened their first DQ in Connellsville, PA, in Fayette County, in May of 1952. This was the 14th DQ in Pennsylvania at the time of opening.
1950’s
Growth
The Lynns sought the interest of family members and local business people to build and open DQ locations, expanding in Fayette County.

Serving 10 Counties
Today, Dairy Queen of S.W. PA franchises in 10 counties in Pennsylvania encompassing 51 locations.
